"Women In Writing" meets at varying locations in Wichita each fourth Monday of the month at 2:00 PM. This group meets to listen to, critique, encourage, and inspire women writers. For more information call Nancy Glenn, District 5, Wichita, 316-687-6212.

D5 sponsored a Music and Words event in Wichita. The first event was in coordination with Fisch Haus, held on April 11, 2017, during the Wichita Jazz Festival. Other events were scheduled throughout the summer. The first programs included “Why I Love Writing,”“Writing Effective Letters to the Editor,” Poetry and Small Press Publishing,” “Writing the Story of Your Life,” and “Poetry and Courage,” with Annette Billings.
